5 Tips For Buying A Manufactured Home Lead Photo

If you happened onto our website, you are probably considering buying a manufactured home. There are endless amounts of information online about buying a home, we have even offered tips before. We know with all the information out there it is easy to get lost in the endless chatter. Because of that, we decided to offer 5 Quick Tips to help you during your search for a manufactured home.

      1. Your Budget

How much home can you afford? We all have an idea of the monthly payment we are comfortable with, but how much does the bank say you budget for? Knowing your budget will ensure that you look at homes that you can afford, and the banks will approve you for.

      2.  Home Price

What does the price include? Internet pricing, factory direct pricing, total package pricing, there are so many prices out there! What is the price that your housing consultant has given you include? Have them write it down and explain exactly what you are getting.

      3. Where to Buy

Shop! Visit several manufactured housing dealerships! Learn about the homes they offer, their construction, and service after the sale. Make sure you feel comfortable working with the team and check out their reputation.

      4.  Your Investment

Don’t be fooled! If a price seems too good to be true, it probably is. This is your home and a huge investment! We all love to get a great deal, but dirt cheap might not be the best way to go when buying a home. That super low price might not include all you need as well.

       5.  Look at Features

All manufactured homes are not created equal. Home features are often referred to as “upgrades” by sales centers. Base models will include the home and its basic features, additional features or upgrades can include insulation, windows, finishes, flooring, siding, water cutoffs, construction standards and much more!

Educate yourself before you shop and find a team that you can trust. There are lots of good people out there that can advise you during your search for a home. We would love to visit with you and show you some of our homes. We would appreciate the opportunity to earn your business!
